Putnam County Parks and Recreation would like to acquaint you with our fine facilities at the Hurricane Valley Community Center conveniently located in Valley Park -- just minutes from I-64, off Teays Valley Road, midway between Huntington and Charleston.

We provide residents and visitors access to a beautiful, spacious meeting place with a distinctive "knotty" pine cathedral ceiling, rustic wood paneling and even an enchanting brick fireplace.  Freshly painted and meticulously maintained, we are proud to provide a clean, smoke-free environment suitable for your most special events.

The Community Center is complete with kitchen facilities, 24 round tables (which can seat 8-10 people each), 225 comfortable chairs, lighting that can be dimmed to create a subtle, romantic mood or used at full capacity for a bright, festive occasion.  Plan you holiday parties here to add that special touch of class.

All rooms are climate controlled for your total comfort in any season, with a gentle air flow created by stylish ceiling fans in the large meeting room and individual settings in the smaller rooms.

Hurricane Valley Community Center is beautifully designed, even to the landscaping surrounding it.  The building and parking lot are completely handicap accessible making it convenient for all.

BUSINESS MEETINGS, INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES, WEDDING OR BABY SHOWERS....

Whatever the occasion, when you have a meeting or other function scheduled that requires a central location common to your guests, there is also a smaller room (accommodating 10-28 people) complete with conference tables and chairs for your professional presentation.  There's an easel available for your charted information and even a television with VCR for your convenience.
