1 . Enhance communication and access to information for all individuals and organizations interested in the past, present, or future of Putnam County
2. Strengthen the sense of community
3. Encourage involvement in local decision making
4. Promote economic development in Putnam County

Our Goal:

Putnam Electronic Plaza will become a resource, in which everyone--from County Government to the large or small business--can be represented; this would include organizations from the Red Cross to the local camera club.

How:

Under the direction of the Putnam Chamber of Commerce, its Board of Directors, the Technology Committee, and its Members, a comprehensive and well managed web site will be developed to promote access to information for the benefit of the county residents, businesses, government agencies, and organizations serving the county; as well as those seeking information related to the county.

Methods:

  • Educate:

1 . Meet with county officials and educate them to the benefits and possible uses to promote and inform their constituency

    2. Meet with business leaders and educate them to the benefits and possible additional business to be gained through the use of internet technology

    3. Meet with city officials within the county and educate them to the benefits and possible uses to promote their town and inform their constituency

    4. Meet with interested Residents and educate them to the benefits and possible informational resources that are available through internet technology
